How to Use Satis Omnibus

From sign-up to automated trading in under 10 minutes. Here's everything you need to know.

Getting Started

1

Create your account

Go to satisomnibus.com/signup and enter your email and a password (minimum 8 characters). Your account starts on the Free plan — no credit card required.

2

Explore the dashboard

Once logged in, you'll see your dashboard with:

  • Overview — Your trading stats, engine status, and recent signals
  • Live Signals — All signals the algorithm generates (delayed 30 min on Free)
  • My Trades — Your trade history and P&L (once auto-trading is enabled)

On the Free plan, you can see all signals with a 30-minute delay. This lets you verify the algorithm's performance before committing any money.

3

Upgrade to Trader or Operator

When you're ready to start auto-trading, upgrade from the Account page in your dashboard or from the pricing section. Both paid plans include a 7-day free trial.

Crypto (Swyftx & XRPL DEX) — No laptop required! Swyftx and XRPL DEX trades are executed directly in the cloud. The algorithm scans, trades, and manages positions 24/7 — even while you sleep. You can monitor everything from your phone or any web browser. No software to download or install.

Stocks/Forex/Commodities (Interactive Brokers) — Laptop required. IBKR trades are executed through the IBKR Client Portal Gateway on your computer. You need the gateway running and the Satis Omnibus IBKR Relay alongside it. The relay connects your local IBKR gateway to the cloud — first-time setup runs a single script that handles everything, then it starts automatically. You can still monitor your signals, positions, and portfolio from your phone or any web browser via the Satis Omnibus dashboard.

What Accounts Do You Need?

Before connecting to Satis Omnibus, you need to create an account with at least one supported broker. Each broker handles different asset classes:

BrokerAsset ClassesTypeLaptop Required?
XRPL DEXXRP/RLUSDDecentralized exchange (on-chain)No — fully cloud-based, trades settle directly on the XRP Ledger
SwyftxCrypto (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, etc.)Spot exchange (API)No — fully cloud-based, trades execute automatically 24/7
Interactive BrokersStocks, Forex, Indices, Commodities, ETFsFull-service broker (IBKR API)Yes — requires IBKR Client Portal Gateway + Relay running on your computer

You can connect one or more brokers. Most users start with the XRPL DEX (XRP/RLUSD on-chain) or Swyftx (crypto spot) because they're simpler, safer, and fully automated — spot trading means you can only lose what you invest, and no laptop is needed. Interactive Brokers adds real stocks, ETFs and more — and Satis Omnibus trades everything spot only, on a cash basis, with no leverage.

Swyftx vs Interactive Brokers vs XRPL DEX — What's the Difference?

There are three different ways to trade through Satis Omnibus. Understanding the difference will help you choose the right broker for your goals.

Spot (Swyftx)Interactive BrokersXRPL DEX (Xaman)
What you ownThe actual crypto asset — real BTC, ETH, SOL, etc. in your exchange accountReal shares and assets, bought outright on a cash basis — no margin, no leverageReal XRP in your own wallet — fully non-custodial, no middleman

Trading fees~0.1% per tradeVery low commissions ($0–$1 per trade for US stocks, competitive forex rates)~0.00001 XRP per trade (near zero)
Short sellingNo — buy onlyNo — Satis Omnibus is long-only spot (IBKR supports shorting, but the strategy doesn't use it)No — buy only
CustodyExchange holds your fundsBroker holds your funds (regulated, SIPC insured up to $500K)You hold your own funds in your wallet
KYC requiredYesYesNo
Laptop requiredNoYes (IBKR Gateway + Relay)No
Best forCrypto traders who want to own what they tradeTraders who want stocks and ETFs alongside crypto — all bought spot, no leverageXRP traders who want full control of their funds

Our recommendation: Use the XRPL DEX for XRP (cheapest fees, you control your own wallet). Use Swyftx for other crypto like BTC, ETH, SOL (spot — no overnight fees). Use Interactive Brokers for stocks, forex, commodities, indices and ETFs (the only broker that covers non-crypto assets) — all traded spot, on a cash basis, with no leverage. You can connect all three — the algorithm routes each trade to the right broker automatically.

Connecting Your Broker

Option A: Swyftx (Crypto — Recommended First Step)

4a

Create a Swyftx account

  1. Go to swyftx.com and sign up for an account
  2. Complete identity verification (KYC) — this is required by law
  3. Deposit funds into your Swyftx account (minimum ~$10 AUD)

Swyftx is an Australian/NZ crypto exchange. It supports spot trading only — meaning you buy and sell real crypto assets. There is no leverage, so you cannot lose more than your deposit.

5a

Generate your Swyftx API keys

  1. Log into your Swyftx account at swyftx.com
  2. Click your profile icon (top right) → API Keys
  3. Click Create New Key
  4. Name it something like "Satis Omnibus"
  5. Under permissions, enable Trade only — do NOT enable Withdraw
  6. Click Create
  7. Copy both the API Key and API Secret — the secret is only shown once
6a

Add Swyftx keys to Satis Omnibus

  1. Log into your Satis Omnibus dashboard
  2. Go to Broker Keys in the sidebar
  3. Select Swyftx (Crypto — NZ/AU) from the dropdown
  4. Paste your API Key and API Secret
  5. Click Encrypt & Save

Your keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored. They are only decrypted momentarily when placing a trade, then immediately cleared from memory.

Security tip: Only enable trading permissions — never enable withdrawal. Satis Omnibus only needs the ability to place and cancel orders. We never need to withdraw your funds.

Option B: Interactive Brokers (Stocks, Forex, Indices, Commodities, ETFs)

Use a cash account. Satis Omnibus trades spot only, on a cash basis — it never uses margin or leverage. IBKR itself offers margin accounts, but you don't need one; a cash account keeps you fully spot, so you can only ever lose the capital in a position. We strongly recommend starting with a paper trading account first. Read our Risk Disclaimer before proceeding.

4b

Create an Interactive Brokers account

  1. Go to interactivebrokers.com and sign up for an account
  2. We recommend starting with a paper trading account to test with virtual money first — you can open one from your Account Management portal
  3. Complete identity verification and fund your account when you're ready to go live
  4. Note your Account ID (e.g. U27694818 for live, or DU followed by numbers for paper)
5b

Add your IBKR Account ID to Satis Omnibus

  1. Log into your Satis Omnibus dashboard
  2. Go to Broker Keys in the sidebar
  3. Select Interactive Brokers (IBKR) from the dropdown
  4. Enter your IBKR Account ID (e.g. U27694818 or DUR823404 for paper)
  5. Select Paper or Live trading mode
  6. Click Encrypt & Save

Your account ID is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored.

6b

Set up the IBKR Relay (one-time setup, then automatic)

The IBKR Relay bridges the Satis Omnibus cloud to your local IBKR Client Portal Gateway. It connects via WebSocket, receives trade signals, and executes them through IBKR's API.

  1. Download SatisOmnibus-IBKR-Setup.bat from the Downloads page
  2. Double-click to run it — the script automatically checks for Java, downloads the IBKR Client Portal Gateway, and launches the relay
  3. When the gateway starts, open https://localhost:5000 in your browser
  4. Your browser will show a certificate warning — click Advanced then Proceed to localhost (this is normal for the gateway's self-signed certificate)
  5. Log in with your LIVE IBKR account credentials (not your paper trading account — the gateway's authentication only works with your live account). You'll need IB Key or your two-factor authentication device to complete login.
  6. Enter your Satis Omnibus email and password when prompted by the relay (first time only)
  7. The relay connects, authenticates, and starts bridging trade signals

That's it — the gateway and relay auto-start on Windows login from now on. You just need to re-authenticate with IBKR's gateway once per day (the session expires for security). Always use your live account credentials when logging in.

Need help? Use Claude to troubleshoot any setup issues — it can walk you through each step.

The IBKR gateway and relay auto-start on Windows login after the setup script runs. The relay receives trade signals from the cloud and executes them through the IBKR gateway. If either stops, the relay auto-restarts. The web app will still generate signals even if disconnected — they just won't execute until you reconnect. You need to log into the gateway once per day using your live account credentials.

Tip: If you want fully hands-off automated trading without keeping your laptop running, start with Swyftx or the XRPL DEX (crypto only). Crypto trades are executed entirely in the cloud — no software required on your end.

Option C: XRPL DEX (XRP/RLUSD — Decentralized, No KYC)

The XRP Ledger has a built-in decentralized exchange (DEX) where you can trade XRP against RLUSD (Ripple's regulated USD stablecoin) directly on-chain. No broker account needed — you trade peer-to-peer from your own wallet. Trades settle in 3-5 seconds on the ledger.

Important: Create a dedicated trading wallet. Do NOT use your main XRP wallet — the one where you store your long-term holdings. Create a separate wallet specifically for automated trading, and only fund it with the amount you're willing to trade. If your main wallet holds significant funds, keep it on a hardware wallet like a Ledger Nano X for maximum security (see the wallet security section below).

4c

Create a dedicated XRPL trading wallet

You need a separate wallet just for trading. Do not reuse your main savings wallet. Here's how:

  1. Download Xaman (formerly XUMM) on your phone from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Open Xaman and tap Add AccountCreate a new account
  3. Xaman will show you Secret Numbers — 8 rows (A through H) of 6-digit numbers. Write these down on paper and store them securely. These numbers are the key that controls your wallet. Anyone with them can access your funds.
  4. Confirm the secret numbers when prompted
  5. Label this account something like "Trading Wallet" so you can tell it apart from your main wallet

Your new wallet needs a minimum of 10 XRP to activate (this is an XRPL network requirement — the reserve is locked and cannot be spent).

5c

Set up the RLUSD trust line

To trade XRP/RLUSD, your wallet needs a trust line to the RLUSD issuer:

  1. In Xaman, go to your trading wallet
  2. Tap the + button next to your token list
  3. Search for RLUSD
  4. Select the official RLUSD issued by Ripple (issuer address starts with rMxCKb...)
  5. Confirm the trust line transaction — this costs a small XRP fee (~0.00001 XRP) and locks an additional 2 XRP as an owner reserve

Once the trust line is set, you can receive and hold RLUSD in your wallet.

6c

Fund your trading wallet

Send funds to your new trading wallet from your main wallet, an exchange, or any other source:

  • XRP — Send enough XRP to cover the 10 XRP reserve + your desired trading amount + a small buffer for transaction fees (each DEX trade costs ~0.00001 XRP)
  • RLUSD — Optionally send RLUSD if you already hold some. The algorithm will swap between XRP and RLUSD on the DEX as signals fire.

Only fund this wallet with what you're prepared to trade. Your main holdings should stay in a separate, secure wallet.

7c

Add your wallet seed to Satis Omnibus

  1. Log into your Satis Omnibus dashboard
  2. Go to Broker Keys in the sidebar
  3. Select XRPL DEX (XRP/RLUSD) from the dropdown
  4. Enter your Xaman Secret Numbers — type all 8 rows of 6-digit numbers separated by spaces, in order from A to H. For example: 123456 234567 345678 456789 012345 543216 321097 654321. You can also paste a family seed (starts with s) if you have one.
  5. Leave the RLUSD Issuer field blank (it defaults to Ripple's official issuer)
  6. Click Encrypt & Save

Your secret numbers are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored. They are only decrypted momentarily when placing a trade on the XRPL DEX, then immediately cleared from memory.

Fully decentralized. Unlike traditional brokers, the XRPL DEX has no middleman. Your funds stay in your wallet at all times — trades settle directly on the XRP Ledger in 3-5 seconds. There is no KYC, no withdrawal delays, and no counterparty risk. You can verify every trade on the public ledger.

XRPL DEX is spot-only. You can only buy XRP (go long). Short selling is not possible on the DEX. Stop losses, take profits, and trailing stops are managed by the Satis Omnibus engine — it monitors your position and places a reverse trade on the DEX when an exit condition is met. Checks run every minute.

Wallet Security — Protecting Your Crypto

When using decentralized exchanges like the XRPL DEX, you are your own bank. There is no customer support to call if your funds are lost or stolen. Wallet security is critical.

The Two-Wallet Rule

Always separate your funds into at least two wallets:

WalletPurposeHow MuchSecurity Level
Vault WalletLong-term savings — XRP, RLUSD, and other assets you're holdingThe majority of your cryptoHardware wallet (Ledger Nano X recommended)
Trading WalletAutomated trading via Satis OmnibusOnly what you're willing to risk tradingXaman (software wallet) — seed phrase encrypted in Satis Omnibus vault

If your trading wallet is compromised, you lose only your trading allocation — not your life savings. Move profits from your trading wallet to your vault wallet periodically.

Hardware Wallets — The Gold Standard

A hardware wallet stores your private keys on a physical device that never connects to the internet. Even if your computer is infected with malware, your funds remain safe because the keys never leave the device.

We recommend the Ledger Nano X for your vault wallet:

Never enter your hardware wallet's seed phrase into any website, app, or software. Your Ledger recovery phrase is for disaster recovery only — if you lose or break the physical device. Anyone who asks you to type your hardware wallet seed phrase into a computer is trying to steal your funds. The only place your Ledger seed phrase should ever be entered is on another Ledger device during recovery.

Seed Phrase Safety Rules

Recommended setup: Ledger Nano X as your vault for long-term holdings. Xaman on your phone as your trading wallet, connected to Satis Omnibus for automated XRP/RLUSD trading. Periodically sweep profits from Xaman to your Ledger. This gives you the best balance of security and convenience.

Configuring Risk Settings

6

Set your risk parameters

Go to Risk Settings in your dashboard sidebar. Configure:

  • Risk per trade: Fixed at 0.25% of your broker balance per trade. Total exposure across all open trades is hard-capped at 4% of your account (max 16 simultaneous positions).
  • Max open trades: How many positions the algorithm can have open simultaneously. Fewer = less exposure.
  • Asset classes: Choose which markets the algorithm trades — Crypto, Shares, ETFs, Indices, Forex, Commodities, or all of them.
  • Auto-trading: Set to "Enabled" when you're ready for the algorithm to place real trades.
  • Notifications: Enable email alerts to get notified on every trade.

Recommended starting settings: 1% risk per trade, 10 max open trades, auto-trading enabled. Total account exposure is capped at 10%. You can also choose a fixed dollar amount per trade instead of a percentage.

Going Live

8

Enable auto-trading

Once your broker is connected and risk settings are configured, click the Start Auto button on your dashboard. The algorithm will start executing trades on the next signal that matches your parameters.

You'll receive an email notification for every trade the algorithm places. You can also watch trades appear in real-time on your dashboard.

You can also click Scan Now at any time to trigger an immediate scan of all 678 instruments instead of waiting for the next scheduled scan.

9

Monitor and adjust

Once you're set up, you can monitor everything from your phone, tablet, or any web browser — just go to satisomnibus.com and log in. You don't need your laptop for monitoring (only IBKR users need the laptop for trade execution via the gateway relay). Check your dashboard periodically:

  • Scanner — See all 678 instruments with live indicator values, signals, and HTF trend status
  • Positions — View your open trades with trailing stop status, peak price, and manual close button
  • Portfolio — Track total P&L, win rate, profit factor, equity curve, and performance by asset class
  • Trade History — Review closed trades and their outcomes

IBKR Setup ScriptInteractive Brokers usersDownload SatisOmnibus-IBKR-Setup.bat from the Downloads page. Double-click to run — it installs Java (if needed), downloads the IBKR Client Portal Gateway, launches the relay, and adds auto-start to Windows login. Log into the gateway at https://localhost:5000 once per day.

Monitoring from anywhere: Regardless of which broker you use, you can monitor your signals, positions, portfolio, and scanner from any device — phone, tablet, or computer. Just open satisomnibus.com in any web browser and log in. You can also use your broker's own app (Swyftx, Xaman, or IBKR Mobile) to check your balances and positions directly.

Interactive Brokers users: The gateway and relay auto-start on Windows login after running the setup script. You can close the lid if your laptop stays awake (check power settings). If the relay disconnects, it auto-restarts. The web dashboard will still show signals even if offline — they just won't be traded until the relay is back. You need to re-authenticate with the IBKR gateway once per day.

Stop Loss Protection

Every trade placed by Satis Omnibus has a stop loss based on the nearest structural swing level with a 0.3% buffer, capped at a maximum of 2% — trades with wider stops are rejected entirely. A 6-bar time-stop also closes stagnant trades that haven't hit their first take-profit within 24 hours.

Interactive Brokers: Stop losses are sent directly to IBKR's servers as part of the order. IBKR executes your stop loss automatically — even if our servers go down or your internet disconnects. This is broker-enforced protection.

Swyftx (spot): Spot exchanges do not support native stop-loss orders the same way CFD brokers do. Our engine monitors your positions and checks the stop loss every 5 minutes. In a sudden flash crash, your exit could be delayed by up to 5 minutes. However, spot trading has no leverage — you can never lose more than the amount you invested in that trade.

XRPL DEX: The XRPL DEX does not have native stop-loss orders. Our engine monitors your positions every minute and places a reverse trade on the DEX when an exit condition triggers. In a sudden price move, your exit could be delayed by up to 1 minute. Like Swyftx, this is spot trading with no leverage — you can only lose what you put in. Trades settle on-chain in 3-5 seconds once the engine triggers them.

Starting With a Small Account

You can connect a broker account of any size — the engine doesn't reject small balances. But account size directly affects how the strategy actually behaves, and it's worth understanding before you fund an account.

Why size matters here: Risk per trade is 0.25–2% of balance, and position sizes are calculated from stop-loss distance (tighter stop = larger position, wider stop = smaller position). Total exposure is capped at 10% of your account (and spread across trades), so your money at risk stays controlled. At $500, a 1% risk setting means $5 risked per trade — enough for a few positions but not the diversified spread across 678 instruments the strategy is built around. At $5,000+, the same percentages produce position sizes that clear typical broker minimums and allow many concurrent trades.

How it works in practice

Deposit into your broker account (e.g. Swyftx), connect it to Satis Omnibus, and the engine starts sizing trades as a percentage of whatever balance is in that account — buying dips, setting stop-losses, trailing profits. If you add more funds later, the next scan picks up the new balance automatically; there's nothing else to configure.

At small balances, expect fewer concurrent trades and position sizes near broker minimums. That's the exposure caps working as intended, not a bug — they exist to bound how much of the account can be lost in a single correlated event, like several dip-buy signals firing during a broad market selloff.

We don't have validated numbers for small-account performance. Our backtests to date have sized trades using a fixed dollar amount per trade rather than a percentage of a small live balance, so we can't honestly tell you what return to expect at $500, $1,000, or $2,000 — that scenario hasn't been tested. Treat any specific dollar or percentage projection for a small account as a guess, not a backtested result, until we publish numbers actually measured at that scale.

Important: Trading involves real risk of loss. This strategy has historically closed roughly half its trades at a stop-loss. Past backtested performance does not guarantee future results, and no specific timeline, income level, or growth rate is guaranteed. Never deposit money you can't afford to lose, and never go into debt to fund a trading account.

The Kill Switch

If you ever need to stop all trading immediately, use the Emergency Kill Switch on your dashboard Overview page. This instantly pauses the algorithm — no new trades will be placed.

Important: The kill switch does NOT close your open positions. If you want to exit existing trades, you need to do that manually in your broker's app or website.

Common Questions

Do I need to keep my laptop running?

For crypto (Swyftx or XRPL DEX): No. Everything runs in the cloud 24/7. Your laptop can be off — trades execute automatically.

For stocks/forex (Interactive Brokers): Yes. You need the IBKR Client Portal Gateway and IBKR Relay running on your laptop. The web dashboard still works from any device for monitoring.

What accounts do I need to create?

You need a Satis Omnibus account (free to create) plus at least one broker or wallet: Swyftx (crypto spot, AU/NZ) for spot crypto, XRPL DEX (XRP/RLUSD via Xaman wallet) for decentralized on-chain trading, or Interactive Brokers (stocks, forex, indices, commodities, ETFs). You can connect one or more.

What is the XRPL DEX and why use it?

The XRP Ledger has a built-in decentralized exchange where you can trade directly from your own wallet. No broker account, no KYC, no withdrawal delays. Trades settle on-chain in 3-5 seconds. You trade XRP against RLUSD (Ripple's regulated stablecoin). Use Xaman on your phone to create and manage your wallet — then connect it to Satis Omnibus for automated trading.

Is it safe to put my secret numbers in Satis Omnibus?

Your secret numbers are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and only decrypted momentarily during trade execution. However, we strongly recommend using a dedicated trading wallet — never your main savings wallet. Create a separate wallet in Xaman with its own secret numbers, and only fund it with what you're willing to trade. Keep your main holdings on a hardware wallet like a Ledger Nano X.

How much money do I need to start?

There's no minimum, but the algorithm works best with at least $100-500 in your broker account. Smaller balances mean smaller position sizes, which may be eaten by trading fees. Start with what you're comfortable losing.

Can I use this on my phone?

Yes — the dashboard is fully responsive. Open satisomnibus.com in your mobile browser and log in. You'll see all your signals, trades, and settings. The algorithm runs on our servers, not your device.

What if the algorithm loses money?

It will — sometimes. The win rate is about 41%, meaning most individual trades lose. The strategy makes money over many trades because winners are significantly larger than losers: spot-only, long-only, on IBKR Pro the full-universe backtest showed a ~41% win rate and a 1.28 profit factor (net of Pro fees). Expect drawdowns. If you're uncomfortable with the losses, reduce your risk percentage or click Stop Auto to pause trading.

What do I need to download?

For crypto (Swyftx): Nothing. No software to install. Create your account, generate API keys, paste them into Satis Omnibus, and you're done.

For XRPL DEX: Xaman app on your phone (App Store / Google Play). Create a dedicated trading wallet, set up the RLUSD trust line, and enter your Secret Numbers (8 rows of 6 digits, space-separated) into Satis Omnibus. No laptop needed.

For stocks/forex (Interactive Brokers): Download SatisOmnibus-IBKR-Setup.bat from the Downloads page and double-click it. The script handles Java installation, IBKR gateway download, relay setup, and adds auto-start to Windows login. Log into the gateway at https://localhost:5000 once per day.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Go to Account in your dashboard and click Manage Subscription. You can cancel, downgrade, or upgrade at any time. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your billing period.

Are stop losses guaranteed?

Interactive Brokers: Yes — stop losses are enforced by IBKR's servers automatically. Swyftx: Stop losses are monitored by our engine every 5 minutes. XRPL DEX: Stop losses are monitored by our engine every minute. In all spot cases, there's no leverage — you can never lose more than your position size.

Is my money safe?

Swyftx: Your money stays in your exchange account — we never hold it. API keys can only place trades, never withdraw or transfer. XRPL DEX: Your funds stay in your own wallet on the XRP Ledger — fully non-custodial. Interactive Brokers: Your funds stay in your IBKR account — trades are routed through your local gateway, and we never have direct access to your account. All credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. You can revoke access at any time by deleting your broker keys from the dashboard.
