Risk Disclaimer

Last updated: 11 July 2026

IMPORTANT: Please read this entire disclaimer before using Satis Omnibus.

  • Trading financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss
  • You could lose some or all of your invested capital
  • Past performance does not guarantee future results
  • Only trade with money you can afford to lose

1. General Risk Warning

Trading in financial instruments — including but not limited to cryptocurrencies, equities, foreign exchange (forex), indices, and commodities — carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. Before deciding to trade, you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite.

2. No Guarantee of Profit

Satis Omnibus uses a systematic trading strategy that has been backtested on historical data. Backtested results are hypothetical and do not represent actual trading. There is no guarantee that the strategy will produce profitable results in live trading. Market conditions change, and strategies that worked historically may fail in the future.

Our backtest showed a 41.1% win rate — meaning 59% of trades lose money. The strategy profits overall because winning trades are larger than losing ones (profit factor 1.44). However, there can be extended periods of losses (drawdowns) that may exceed what was observed in backtesting.

3. Risks Specific to Automated Trading

  • System failures: Software bugs, server downtime, network issues, or broker API outages could result in missed entries/exits or erroneous trades
  • Slippage: Actual execution prices may differ from signal prices, especially in volatile or illiquid markets
  • Over-optimisation: Backtested strategies may be overfit to historical data and perform worse in live trading
  • Market regime changes: The strategy may underperform in market conditions not represented in the backtest data
  • Latency: Delays between signal generation and trade execution can affect results

4. Risks by Asset Class

Cryptocurrencies: Extremely volatile, can lose 50%+ of value in days. Regulatory changes can affect availability and value. Not protected by traditional financial safeguards.

Equities (Stocks): Subject to market risk, company risk, sector risk, and economic conditions. Individual stocks can go to zero.

Forex: Highly leveraged markets where small moves can result in large losses. Currency values are affected by economic policies, geopolitical events, and central bank decisions.

Commodities: Prices driven by supply/demand, weather, geopolitical events. Can experience extreme volatility.

CFDs (Contracts for Difference): Leveraged products where you can lose more than your initial deposit. 60-80% of retail CFD accounts lose money.

5. Capital at Risk

You should never invest money that you cannot afford to lose. Do not use emergency funds, borrowed money, or funds needed for essential living expenses. Consider the following before trading:

  • Can you afford to lose the entire amount you invest?
  • Will losing this money affect your ability to pay bills or meet obligations?
  • Have you set aside an emergency fund separate from trading capital?
  • Are you emotionally prepared for periods of sustained losses?

Satis Omnibus is trading software, not a financial advisory service. The signals and automated trades generated by the system do not constitute personal financial advice, investment advice, or recommendations to buy or sell any financial instrument.

You should seek independent financial advice from a qualified professional before making any investment decisions.
